I liked the absurd shit about the solar system. Seemed to hit the Bush regime world view on the head.
Thats what I never got about Hitchens: heres a guy whos been a hardcore atheist, anti-fascist and anti-monarchist Trotskyist for most of his life, yet he decides to go out of his way to be the public mouthpiece of the anti Science fundamentalist crowd.
I understand his views on liberating the world of clerical fascism, but to condemn outrage over insulting cartoons in the Middle East yet say nothing about the bigots and Jee-buz freaks here in America is just plain stupid.
These are the same people who squander Billions of dollars to finance Israel's war machine because they believe that it will accelerate the return of Jesus and the coming of rapture...

Good Lord! Grow some cojones man!
What do you think about Maher\'s unconditional support for Israel? On that issue, he actually was trumped by Leno on his show, it\'s never good for a comedian to \"protect\" something/an idea because it smacks off conservatism, and it\'ll get picked on. And it was. Moreever, his anti-religious rants are of a fascist kind; I know on this blog religion is not looked kindly upon, but Maher actually said in one interview that \"maybe it\'s better to outlaw religion in Iraq\". That\'s is an idea that would be frowned upong by our founding fathers, they never had such fascistic ideas in their minds when they were writing the constitution. BTW, that constitution is the great differentiator between France and USA, two countries that took the same Enlightment principles as starting point, but ended up in wildly different systems. I\'ll let history judge whose was/is better system, but I think 200+ years kinda speaks for itself. And I still have trust in this system. Maher is becoming a fascistic moron, and just at the same time, his comedic skill is declining which is sad, because he was one of my all time favorite comedians.
Madden: Are you ready for some FOOTBALL !?!
John, the mic isn't on.
Madden: ... FOOTBALL ! !
I name my junk after Reagan, which I delved into Nancy last night.
yeah im starting to dislike maher too. did he talk about that new ruling that confirmed the warrantless-nsa-surveillance is unconstitutional? so, bill's kind of left with calling them activist judges or with condemning the constitution, i wonder which one he chose?
It's interesting how it's still okay to be totally bigoted against certain religions but not others. It amazes me how people can freely bash Christianity and it's still somehow PC, but the moment someone finds one flaw with Islam, their thoughts are censored. Equality?
Nonsense hmmmmm. Christianity may be freely bashed on this blog and by Maher, but this phenomenom is not true the majority of the time in the U.S. On the contrary, it is atheists who are freely bashed in the U.S.
