Israel Kidnaps Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister

We know how Israel reacts when an Israeli is kidnapped. In a democracy if you are subject to the laws of a country you get a right to vote, and if arrested a trail by a jury of your peers. If Israel is going to act like they own Palestine they need to give everyone there citizenship and the vote. Israeli hypocrisy knows no bounds.

IDF arrests Palestinian deputy prime minister

RAMALLAH - Israel Defense Forces soldiers arrested (kidnapped) the Palestinian deputy prime minister early Saturday, the army said, the highest-ranking Hamas official to be arrested in a six-week-old crackdown against the ruling (democratically elected( Hamas party.

Troops (from a foreign country in violation of international law) burst into the home of Nasser Shaer - considered to be a relative moderate - around 4:30 a.m. and took him away, the deputy prime minister's wife, Huda, said.

She said her husband had been in hiding since Israel began its crackdown in late June after Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip infiltrated southern Israel and captured a soldier. She said he had rarely been home during that period.

The army confirmed Shaer was arrested (kidnapped) in Ramallah overnight for his (alleged) involvement and activity in Hamas. (the duly elected party in power)

Comments

So, by Bill Maher's logic from Leno, this would be akin to if Canada had kidnapped Dick Cheney? What now, Bill? God, consistency's a bitch.
