Seeing a well-organized, well-attended peace rally in SLC of all places gives me hope. I've been to most of the big ones in San Francisco, but this one may be even more powerful. Thanks for posting the pictures.
I wasn't there and I don't see anybody I wouldn't want to know.
Way to go SLC, we in Oklahoma could learn a thing or two. When George Bush spoke at OSU last spring I think there was a total of thirty protesters…!

Could it be that americans (or "estadounidenses" in spanish or "etatsuniens" in french, people here in Chile or Argentina don't understand why you call yourself "americans", they are too) are finally getting a conscience?

That would be the same Argentina where all the Nazi war criminals fled to live out their golden age in retirement, the place of the 'Dirty War', and a place whose president is attempting to work with communist and anti-American interests just to gain popularity for his own regime; and the same Chile where Pinochet ruled with an iron fist and the DINA carried out operation Condor, a junta operation complete with concentration camps?
Ah yes, Latin America: a shining example of corruption-free government.
