Putin Wins First Round
Putin rejects Bush's Iraq democracy model
"I talked about my desire to promote institutional change in parts of the world, like Iraq where there's a free press and free religion, and I told him that a lot of people in our country would hope that Russia would do the same," Bush said.
To that, Putin replied, "We certainly would not want to have the same kind of democracy that they have in Iraq, quite honestly."

I wonder if Bush's use of Iraq as an example of a good democracy means he believes his own rhetoric.

Please note Putin's eyebrows shooting up after he makes the comment. It's a moment that I'm sure everyone connected those dots!

So, was that Putty-put's jab at the Pres, or was it something silly for the masses that they'll laugh together about later.
Remember, Georgie thinks the world of Vlad. I think they're cut from the same cloth, except Putty-put is smarter.

I am sure Putin was dying to say "the USA" rather than Iraq. I had to laugh- Fox seems keen on calling Putin "Prime Minister"- is that because there is only room for one el Presidente in the world? PS- I only watch Fox for Shits & Giggles!!

One of those lovely rare moments where he's called on his bullshit statements, albeit from another jerk.
Here's my feeling.

It really disturbs me that when Putin made that comment people laughed. There is nothing funny about the horrible things that our troops do in Iraq.
