Rove Indictment Soon
Rove Informs White House He'll be indicted I don't suppose you'll give me credit for predicting an indictment this week on the basis of this story?
Within the last week, Karl Rove told President Bush and Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten, as well as a few other high level administration officials, that he will be indicted in the CIA leak case and will immediately resign his White House job when the special counsel publicly announces the charges against him, according to sources.
Details of Rove's discussions with the president and Bolten have spread through the corridors of the White House where low-level staffers and senior officials were trying to determine how the indictment would impact an administration that has been mired in a number of high-profile political scandals for nearly a year, said a half-dozen White House aides and two senior officials who work at the Republican National Committee.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, sources confirmed Rove's indictment is imminent. These individuals requested anonymity saying they were not authorized to speak publicly about Rove's situation. A spokesman in the White House press office said they would not comment on "wildly speculative rumors." . . .
***UPDATE ***
Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald spent more than half a day Friday at the offices of Patton Boggs, the law firm representing Karl Rove.During the course of that meeting, Fitzgerald served attorneys for former Deputy White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove with an indictment charging the embattled White House official with perjury and lying to investigators related to his role in the CIA leak case, and instructed one of the attorneys to tell Rove that he has 24 hours to get his affairs in order, high level sources with direct knowledge of the meeting said Saturday morning.

One more down... a whole corrupt system still to tackle. Keep up the great work. You guys keep the MSM and the politicians aware that we're watching and know how shallow they are. With out folks like you here at OneGoodMove keeping the fire on these issues burning these guys wouldn't be falling.
Thank you!

we are getting some momentum going here!
let's keep it up!
everybody sing along.....
Norm - I thought I saw you lurking once or twice in the background of Scott McClellan's daily press briefings....
Good call. Turd Blossom can now work undercover to purchase several key midterms elections, free of his official administration encumbrances. What disguise do you think he will he wear?
Hows about another prediction? That Fitzgerald will be accused of being an activist judge by several sources?
I don't believe fitzgerald is a judge - yet. For activist judges, refer to Antonin Scalia, and/or Clarence Thomas in gore v. harris, 2000
Hippity-Hop!! I am personally smiling....
Rove said "Liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers. Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war"
Actually, Karl, us liberals are prepared for YOUR indictment AND we're prepared for war against your fascist regime!
Holy cow this is awesome.
if im not mistaken, the bush administration dept of justice picked Fitzy. So, they will have hard time discredited him when they had showered him with praise before all this.
No matter what anti-Fitz talking point comes out just remember that these GOP smear merchants have lost every single drop of credibility.
bf, You're way right. I was up late checking email when I shifted over here. On my way drifting off to sleep, I thought, What did I write? zzzz
Anyway, he'll get some jabs for going after the poor poor Republicans.
Norm must be using da Colbert Code.
"Holy cow this is awesome."
I know what you meant and that your thoughts in the right place but I think you should of phase it different. It would be much more awesome if there was no need for this. It would be awesome if our government was not run by a bunch of criminals. I glad justice is being done but I take no joy from this. The fact that these people have been in charge of our country so long is too depressing a fact for me to call this awesome. We should never have allowed these people to get in office in the first place. Do you think Rove being indicted going to change anything? Nothing going to change until bush is out of office. My only hope is that during the mid-term election people all around this country decide to send a strong message that what been going on the last 6 years is unacceptable.
why no indictment for the actual leak? yes, he obviously lied, and thats bad, but its not the treason.
What is the indictment for? pergury or obstructing justice?
Oh, I should have read the update. Perjury it is. Too bad, I was hoping for obstructing justice.
