I'm predicting that Karl Rove is indicted by the grand jury this week. Charges will include perjury and the big one obstruction of justice.

What a Bummer

Oh No! Please say it's not so. Many Youths Disregard Their Virginity Pledges, Harvard Study Says

Virginity pledges, in which young people vow to abstain from sex until marriage, have little staying power among those who take them, a Harvard study has found.

More than half of the adolescents who make the signed public promises give up on their pledges within a year, according to the study released last week.

Contra-Contraception The race to the 16th century and beyond.

After the wanton years that followed the restoration of the monarchy, a time when both theaters and brothels multiplied, social conservatism rooted itself in the English bosom. Self-appointed Christian morality police roamed the land, bent on restricting not only homosexuality and prostitution but also what went on between husbands and wives.

Mocking the Main Man?

What a Bummer more evidence of what a silly enterprise religion can be.

That piece on Colbert at "BuzzLog" has the most angry and hateful comments section I've yet to come across. Wow. I didn't even bother trying to post my two cents as it seemed a pretty bankrupt group that would have no use for it.

The celibacy articles are great though. If you haven't seen the old TV Funhouse show about cult that had a brilliant segment on celibacy you must check it out. It's the best commentary on the absurdity of celibacy and religious ceremony I've ever seen.

The celibacy part is about a boy who must wait until he is an adult and confirmed by his church before he is allowed to have a bowel movement. The things he does to supress his urges are priceless.

I had no idea going to the bathroom was such a big deal. That butterflies and wheels article is hilarious.

Squatting or sitting is said to be better since it is healthier for the body and there is less chance of urine splashing onto one’s body or clothes.
The Prophet said, “None of you should touch his privates with his right hand whilst urinating nor should he wipe off feces with his right”.

I do like the idea of the men sitting down, though, so the pee doesn't splash all over the place. :)

I just hope that the Muslim men know both rules, though, cause if they stand up and then use their left hand (assuming that they are right handed), what a mess that would be!

So is this why those weird toilets that can be found in Europe (the ones that are just a hole in the ground) are called Turkish toilets?

Geez, never thought there was so much to learn about taking a pee.

These two little ditties were actualy written for the recent proposal to ban the sale of sex toys in SC. I think they are near enough.

My Daddy has asked me to, Keep myself so pure and true. But my little toy, Gives so much joy. Bet it knows much more than you.

All us girls down South Caroline, Scrub at sin 'till we do shine. But to take away, So we can't play. Don't you dare it's mine mine mine.

My Yahoo! Buzz Log favorite comment:

To ounceoflogic: It is ironic to me that you would post about "3-year cliches which have either been disproven or have no factual basis" as if they were strictly a left-wing trait (WMDs, the original war budget, the Saddam-9/11 connection). I'm not here to defend any liberal posts on this site that sound anti-military, but it's time people realize you don't have to believe in Bush to believe in the U.S. military. And in my humble opinion, thank God for that! I'm not sure which of the "cliches" you read into my previous post (Bush lied / big oil / nation-building / torture), since for the record, I mentioned none of them. But I ask that you take off the red-colored sunglasses brother. E-marine is right- "The men and women of our forces need undivided support, not parisan bickering no matter what our personal opinion is."

Hi S. G., that clip on Youtube was priceless : >

Btw, you might like the movie called 40 days and 40 nights. It's about a guy who tries to keep a vow that he made on Lent to abstain from sex:
