Last Question Is Obstruction for Fitzgerald, Rove

Hundreds of pages of emails and memos "discovered" by the White House in February and turned over to Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald show that Karl Rove played a much larger role in the Valerie Plame Wilson leak case than he had previously disclosed to a grand jury and FBI investigators. . .

Some of the emails and memos were written by Rove, and are part of a growing body of evidence suggesting he lied to the grand jury and the FBI and may have obstructed justice during the course of the investigation. It was following their disclosure that Fitzgerald advised Rove's attorney, Robert Luskin, several weeks ago that he intends to indict Rove for perjury and lying to investigators. The lingering question, sources close to the case said, is whether Fitzgerald will add obstruction of justice to the list of charges that he has already drafted against Rove.

Cheney Attacks Russia, Revives Cold War

See, Rumsfeld was right, they are cheering in the streets. If there's any justice in the world Rove will be convicted right after Bush leaves office so Bush can't pardon him.

One thing that I haven't seen anyone point out is that the Russia thing is probably 100% about Iran. There is no conservative out there (neo or otherwise), bar none, cares about human rights or democracy their own sake enough to call strategic allies to account for it. It's part of the shopworn tactic of smearing whatever country opposes you on the international stage. Of course it has nothing to with convincing the world, only the American electorate. If you look at the anti-France thing, conservatives still feel justified in feeling sour toward France, even though their position was the smarter one--all because France is said to have opposed Gulf War II for corrupt reasons. As long as you have an enemy even a stupid policy takes on a sheen of merit.

Indeed dende blogger. There is this pathetic blog called fuckfrance.com The people there are obsessed with complaining about the French.

Perhaps they will now turn their anger towards Putin.
