Best impersonation ever.
hi from south america!
im sorry you have to put up with a president as dumb as GWB. unfortunately here in the third world we also suffer the consequences of some of his "policies". we dont like him at all...
adrian (buenos aires, argentina)
Makes you pity that poor fellow who has to play Dubya on Saturday Night Live these days..
Best imporsonation of GWB is by British comic Rory Bremner on 'Bremner, Bird, and Fortune', Channel 4
Awesome and accurate.
I love Will Ferrell. Thanks for making this available. I would never have known about him without onegoodmove.org.
This article in Science magazine (ATMOSPHERIC SCIENCE: Tiny Bubbles Tell All) is also covered in the NY Times today (Rise in Gases Unmatched by a History in Ancient Ice). Of course, you'll need a subscription to read Science, but you can pick up a login for the NY Times at bugmenot.com.
Thanks for video. You can tell that Will Ferrell has been studying Bush's mannerisms quite a bit.
Will has the voice down. Not the best Bush impression I have ever heard, but close.
Bremner Bird and Fortune is AMAZING...
But Rory Bremner's Bush is only ok.
His BLAIR on the other hand is ASTONISHING.
just my two cents..
someone should post some BBF vids up here... takers?
-lies
Thanks for the post. Will Ferrel seems to have the actions and mannerisims of an ignorant president. What a great impression.
As I went out today and contributed my share of money to the gross domestic product of America, I took time to consider my fellow Americans in the military who are serving abroad. They are performing an admirable job carrying out their assigned mission for the American people, as well as completing a very appreciative service to a foreign country trying to embrace a new concept of freedom. Rather than spend time debating the merits of bringing our soldiers home today or tomorrow I wish to reflect on a moving story I read a day or two ago about soldiers just trying to perform their duty.
The story revolves around the life of marines in and around Fallujah. I wake up each morning, have my morning drink, take a shower, warm up the car, drive to work, drive home, then relax. After relaxing I turn on the daily news and watch the highlights or hot topics of the Iraq war. The television has sensationalized the war so much that at times I believe people forget these are real people in these 30 second video clips, this is someone’s brother or sister we are watching, not an actor who walks back to his trailer after a filmed battle scene. I hear debate over when the troops should be brought home, the discussion seems so impersonal, I feel that this is the wrong way to discuss this topic, the topic should be nothing but personal.
Each time I drive down the freeway to work and I see the flag at half staff I throw up a quick prayer for the soldier that flag symbolizes, I may not know him but I know his kind and if praying for him is the least I can do to show my appreciation and respect then I consider it an honor and privilege to do so. I hope in the weeks to come more and more people discuss this topic, do not be discouraged by close-minded people who call you un-American if you discuss this issue. American soldiers such as these same brave men and woman fought for and died for your right to discuss these exact types of issues.
Educate yourself, speak with your elected officials, do all that you can to support these brave men and women. Do more than just watch a 30 second clip on CNN or Fox News. Get involved, find out information, make an informed comment when you discuss the issue of bringing home our soldiers. Raymond B www.voteswagon.com
Will Ferrell has Bush's mannerisms down cold. The dumb way Bush tries to sound smart or compassionate but ends up sounding like a child TRYING to sound smart or compassionate. He also does Dubya's short-tempered spiteful comments quite well.
It's the attention to his mannerisms that make this so funny.
"Adam and Eve drove an Excursion." Maybe the best comedy line ever!
Ben, I was about to say, that line was hilarious.
Thanks for posting a QT 6.5 video. I can see it!
Will's great at the voice, but bar none the absolute best is Frank Caliendo on MadTV. I swear, if you turned away from the screen and just listened to him talk you'd not know the difference. For example, here is a clip he did from a radio show with all of his best impersonations in a row. In order they are John Madden, George W Bush, John Madden again, Jim Rome, Jeff Goldblum, Robin Williams, Jim Rove again, and Al Pacino.

Some more of his stuff is at www.frankcaliendo.com
bush is on vacation in crawford right now. i for one believe that he should not be able to take a vacation as long as the troops are in combat. they don't get vacations! they don't get to spend time with their families at the holidays. maybe we could go so far as to make him eat mre's as well. i see them living it up at the white house and going on vacations ad naseum and it makes me physically ill!
i like will ferrell's impersonation of the president. it would be interesting to see a dana carvey impersonation. he did so well doing senior.
Ilove Wil Ferrel.
Andrew, Frank is very good also.
he is cool
he is the bitch
The impersonation isn't perfect, but the attitude, the lines...the reason this is so frickin' funny is that everyone knows that is exactly what our president thinks about global warming. We're crying while we're laughing.
Im an American that doesnt necesarily like Bush but I dont see why he is so bad to people in South America IF anything I though people in South America would like his plan to bribe S.American countries to not be nuecular powers.
Lol, I love this video. I linked to this article on your site (www.FiveZeroFive.com). Hope to see more great stuff from this site in the future!

I've watched this at least once a day since I first saw it. Like a vitamin to lift my mood. Ferrell's timing is unbelievable.....the script is great. Bush is skewered for life with this.
this comment is in regards to adrians comment who is from south america i could really care less what you think about our president im not goin to sit here while you make fun of him he the american president and i will stand by him through it all because he represents america and why our country is so great so before you go insulting other peoples countries why dont you look at your own.

Will's voice: perfect; body movements: excellent; facial expressions: needs work; overall: Hilarious!
American Man: Adrian has a right to his/her opinions just like we Americans do. For better or worse, the American president is the most powerful person in the world, and his actions impact all the citizens of the planet. A great leader accepts the mantle of responsibility.
Will Ferrell is a comic genius, right up there with the Phil Hartman's and the Tim Conway's of the biz!
As for American Man, blind faith in our leaders by you and the masses will only destroy what they are supposedly supposed to be protecting! Freedom is not free, but it also shouldn't come at such a huge cost as it does now. It is time for a new revolution against the powers that be, so that we can use our technology and communication resources for the good of the masses both here in the US and around the world, not just for the profit and prosparity of a chosen few, which, I'm sure, you, nor anyone else reading this, are not part of. If you wish to blindly follow and support our President, then you are no better than the German Nazi's of 1930's Germany. Hope you can comprehend all this and maybe even learn a little something from it...
True, Freedom is not free. Regular men with not much power grouped together in 1775 to fight for independance for a country. The result of the altercation, john, was a democracy. This democracy is still intact today and elected GWB as its president. Yes, the US government has issues, but all in all I think we live a pretty damn easy life here in the US. After all, the US government can't please everybody because we do not live in a perfect world (if we did, john, out of kindness, would offer to help me cut wood to heat my house).
Forgive me. I do not comprehend how supporting my president is synonymous the German Nazi's of the '30s (Dictatorship, World Domination, Holocaust, etc.). Perhaps you have secrets nobody knows about. Why don't you enlighten my naive, ignorant mind?
weak. unrealistic. lacking in consistancy. and bush wouldn't act that way in front of a camera. they don't just "point and go" with bush. they have to have the script read to him... him ok-ing it... rewrites... and then a teleprompter.
the middle end was good with the pop up book.
plus they would have lit him up more, bush would have to have more rugged clothing on... he would have been surrounded by loyalists group aranged to show that all colors love bush.
and he wasn't drunk or throwing a hissy fit.
all in all a high school performance for a jr college script.
plus bush would have majorly freaked out if a director tried to tell him anything.
also why not add in some real statements from the bush admin? their denial of global warming over the years must have some good lines in it.
and where is bush's handlers? huh??? where's karl "turd blossom" rove? where's dick "wanted in nigeria for bribery" cheney? where is harriet "cut and run" myers? where is at least andy "he's no karl rove" card?
i am sick of everyone in this gawd damn country doing a half ass job at everything. from running the country, to journalism, to our so called comics.
sad.
richard pryor and the original SNL crew would have done a way better job of blending in realism with absurdity. anyone can do what this guy just did. jsut be a dolt. that's it.
where is the deeper movement? where is the illumination? where is ther belly laughs?
where are the dying blacks in the background for bush to ignore? where is osama (or as fox calls him now "U.B.L.") hiding weapons of mass destruction with sadam? where is the meanton of god telling bush that global warming is ok? and bush wouldn't call it "global warmings". he would over articulate it to make sure he said it properly.
sheesh!!!!
typical american main stream version of life. having nothing to do with nothing and going no where.
take it easy bye tsk tsk tsk :(
Sounds to me like somebody's mad because they never learned how to throw a baseball. Richard Pryor was one of the best and Will Ferrell is funny, too. Typical mainstream means appeal to those who work everyday and want to relax and watch comedy. It sounds to me like taomutt is the one with nothing to do and may bored with their own life.
Painful to watch. Just like a speech from the real G Dubya!!!
I am always concerned that Bush et al want to bring democracy to the Middle East and yet they do not make any effort to make Israel a democracy. The neo-com are bringing in people from Russia and yet they will not allow in the Palestinians that they forced out in the wars. This is a very important point and the US has failed to look at it other than a local issue here in the USA. Shame on us.
Its really funny. Unfortunately, its really scary too, because its so close to reality.
I'd love to see Chevy Chase fall all over the place & do a Bush impersonation.
Rory Bremner sort of looks like Bush, but his impersonation is a generic broad stroke and the writing is awful! Will Ferrell is subtle and accurate. Too bad there's not much substance/critique.
Do you think having this taped in front of, and just beside a real horses-arse was simply a coincidence? At first glance I thought it was twins!
I'm from Scotland, and I watch that idiot Bush and his gang of thugs, and I cannot believe that they are doing to this planet. Will Ferrel? You keep it goin' good buddy...you are helping the cause! That's for sure!

Here's another awesome one from Will Ferrell! http://balconyfilms.com/ferrell.htm

Amazing the stream of anti-bush and anti-American views expressed here with nothing solid to base it on except a contempt of a nation and its president to take action when action was sorely needed.
Reagan was hated during his presidency by the same crowd who hates Bush today and yet look at the impact Reagan's policies and actions have had on Europe and the rest of the world. Supporters of Reagan and Bush (I and II) do not pretend that these men were or are right 100% of the time but we admire their will and resolve to take action.
It is in our nature to take action, that is how we enabled our country to come into being and provide hope for others to experience the freedoms we enjoy.
This is hilarious. It's too bad so many Americans don't realize that Bush is a really shitty president. God, he's just so stupid! I love these videos. They wouldn't be funny if they weren't so true.
ForThePeople said "Amazing the stream of anti-bush and anti-American views expressed here with nothing solid to base it on except a contempt of a nation and its president to take action when action was sorely needed"
What are the actions that the Bush admin took that you are so proud of? How is invading Iraq taking helpful action? Are you proud of how the U.S. is torturing the prisoners it has captured? Are you proud of how our freedoms are being eroded via the Patriot Act? Do you believe in blind allegiance to a president who has no clue as to what he is doing and who is the butt of all jokes around the globe? I am sorry, but little Bush doesn't hold a candle to his father. I didn't vote for papa Bush, but he was a hell of a better pres than baby shrub is. Are you proud of Scooter Libby and Delay?
Oh, and yes, I am so thankful to Regan for running up the debt and leaving it to President Clinton to clean up. Course, Shrub has eroded our economy and destroyed everything that the Clinton administration did to help our country. Clinton was admired by many international leaders. Shrub has zero diplomatic skills, no understanding of economics, and anyway he is just Cheney's lapdog. His family has been trying all of his life to try to find something for that silly frat brat to be successful at, but no such luck. Ever notice how silent that Papa Bush is about this whole Iraq business. What I would give to know what he really thinks about his son.
This is not about contempt of nation, it is comtempt for this corrupt administration.
To Adrien in Buenos Aires The reason that you are getting angry comments from some is that they haven't a clue. They haven't because one of the democratic supports in this country, honest media, has been sacrificed to consolidation. Corporate media own the major outlets and in the American heartland they are essentially the only voice the people hear. The supply of information is narrow and self-serving.
These angry Americans have probably never heard of "neo-liberalism" as it pertains to economics. They have no idea of the misery Argentina went through when the economy collapsed and the heroism of its people in taking charge when the government was paralyzed. They believe Reagan was good for America because they've been told this. The savagry of Reagan's policy in Latin America is unknown to them, indeed only recently come to my attention because I am researching this material for a novel. Up north we simply are not focused on Latin America the way that Latin America is forced to be focused on us.
But good things are happening in the South of late. From Bolivia to Venezuela to Chile and who knows where else. Our press covers this area so badly.
In defense of my fellow Americans, I want to mention that in the final analysis, we actually picked the other guy in 2000, and in 2004 the election was so corrupt with "irregularities" it is impossible to say who would have won an honest election. Personally i think the exit polling told the tale.
