Role of Rove, Libby in CIA Leak Case Clearer
Bush and Cheney Aides' Testimony Contradicts Earlier White House Statement
a new theory about Fitzgerald's aim has emerged in recent weeks from two lawyers who have had extensive conversations with the prosecutor while representing witnesses in the case. They surmise that Fitzgerald is considering whether he can bring charges of a criminal conspiracy perpetrated by a group of senior Bush administration officials. Under this legal tactic, Fitzgerald would attempt to establish that at least two or more officials agreed to take affirmative steps to discredit and retaliate against Wilson and leak sensitive government information about his wife. To prove a criminal conspiracy, the actions need not have been criminal, but conspirators must have had a criminal purpose.
Could Fitzgerald be going after the whole gang. Oh my, I'm starting to get all tinglely.

THE FIRST ANNUAL AGITPROP "FOX NEWS ALERT" CHALLENGE Have you ever wondered what dramatic "news alerts" Fox would have broadcasted if they were around for the past 200 years?
Such A Tease (thanks to Nano for the heads up)
Jon Stewart is very funny and on his cult US television show he's a rare scourge of the rich and powerful, especially Bush and his court. Gary Younge puts it to him, is he really angry with America, or is he a man on a mission for the next joke?
The best God joke ever - and it's mine!
No not this one, but being from Utah I found it funny.
A Mormon told me that they don't drink coffee. I said, "A cup of coffee every day gives you wonderful benefits." He said, "Like what?" I said, "Well, it keeps you from being Mormon
Wild gorillas seen to use tools
What's fascinating is the similarity between what these creatures have done and what we do
Gorillas have been seen for the first time using simple tools to perform tasks in the wild, researchers say. Scientists observed gorillas in a remote Congolese forest using sticks to test the depth of muddy water and to cross swampy areas.

Isn't it interesting that we begin to notice brand new things about animals now that they are disappearing. And the things we learn are almost always about us or about some relation to us. We are always the measure of what we are measuring.
This is interesting science, but it's not the first time I've heard the "apes using tools" report. I don't remember the name of the documentary, but it was about apes that used sticks as a tool to collect termites (spelling?) from their nest to eat. It's only human arrogance that allows us to discredit intelligence in animals.
I think I've read that apes have been well documented using tools in the past, but in captivity. Many people thought the apes simply mimicked humans, though. The news here is that they're doing it in the wild with no human interaction.
"It's only human arrogance that allows us to discredit intelligence in animals."
I agree wholeheartedly!
Chimps are the species that go after termites with twigs. But hey there are other species that do so. Some ants use tools in food gathering. The news here wasn't anything really new, except as regards Gorillaz without the mist of limited human imagination around them.
I ride with people who drink cold caffeine and it never kept them from being a mormon. What's with hot caffeine that makes it so E-V-I-L?
I laughed at that one. Yours gets a "paste" & "save" on my list of jokes, Norm.
"When I was a kid, I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realised, the Lord doesn't work that way. So I just stole one and asked Him to forgive me ... and I got it!" - Emo Philips.
Yep that's how it works. Good stuff.
Emo Philips wrote, and directed I believe, the original short film called Meet The Parents which inspired the Ben Stiller film.
Philips can also be seen as the shockilingly clumsy carpenter in Weird Al Yankovic's film UHF, also known as The Vidiot From UHF down here in Australia.
I do not believe in a god sir, but I pray to whatever external being exists that justice will be had upon this administration.
I added my piece to the agitprop page:
UPPITY APATOSAURS DEMAND VEGETATION, BUT ARE THEY TO BLAME FOR THE METEOR? Not my best work, but you get the idea.
What about Charlie Parker lying a round in a dumpster and playing "up in the higher harmonics"?
If Charlie Parker evolved from Elvis, why aren't there graffiti that say "Elvis lives!?
And a Global/Enquireral/aSt(a)ral phenomenon of Parker sightings?
This I believe (in):
Elvis
lives
Elves.
Evils.

The interview with John Stewart, "Such a Tease" was a good read!
I completely concur with this point he made:
If the parties and the media serve the country so badly, why do Americans put up with it? "Because for the majority of Americans life is pretty tolerable," says Stewart. "It's very hard to organise reasonable people with moderate views. Reasonable people with moderate views don't usually light their torches and head out to town with pitchforks shouting, Be reasonable. Shit has to get really bad before people stand up and take notice."
My question is this: When shit DOES get really bad and reasonable people take notice, should they light their torches and head out to town with pitchforks shouting?
There was a documentary on PBS (ETV) on Sunday night (or Monday night). You can view the written summary on PBS website at (paste in your browser) http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/deepjungle/episode3_index.html
Besides apes/monkeys using tools, in the wild (after carrying them for one mile to the "shop"), also read about 'evolution of violence': organized chimps killing other monkeys or chimps (!).
Enjoy!
