He's alright. Not great, just OK.

God, this guy is so excruciatingly lame. You can tell that he spends his days reading web sites to come up with 'pop culture' things to rant about. Because the minute he loses his spot in his prepared, lame rant, he's at a loss. Nothing to say. Because he's not really 'ranting', he's performing. And he's a shitty performer.

The word 'poser' is hardly descriptive enough to encompass this guy's lameness.

He's not bad. He's not A-list class (Carlin, Rock, Black, Degeneres) but he's funny and worth a few minutes a week to unwind with. Keep em coming Norm, I like him.

still sucking, and sucking, and sucking

Painful to watch ...

I'm getting tired of the same people making the same criticisms every week, I heard you the first time and the second time and again today, and I frankly don't give a fuck what you think. I post whatever the hell I want on this blog. If you don't like it don't read it. It's not as if the post is deceptive and you're tricked in to watching it. I understand there are some that don't like his comedy, and criticism is fine, but the same comments week after week are boring. Keep it up and you will lose your commenting privileges here.

This comedian is far from a genius in terms of ideas, delivery or charisma... but moderately interesting nonetheless (I watched the whole clip before feeling bored). He is sufficiently funny and original to deserve to be on a stage. I wouldn't pay to see him, or seek out other links to his comedy or remain on the same channel if I happened upon him on TV.

I MUST disagree with Michael Leza though. Degeneres is the most unfunny pathetic media-corp-boosted talentless wench I've ever seen getting on television.

ok, sorry, won't say anything sucks again.

I thought this one was pretty funny.

Norm is Boxcar ... hence the hysterical sensitivity at any criticism.

It's his party, and he'll cry if he wants to, cry if he wants to. you would too if it happened to you.

I loved the advertising version of the pledge of alliegence. BUT you've got to say it with one hand over your heart to the href="https://secure.adbusters.org/orders/flag">corporate flag

Oops.

I loved the advertising version of the pledge of alliegence. BUT you've got to say it with one hand over your heart to the corporate flag

Joe? Schmo? He's awe-some/ful, depending on who how what YOU are. Substantial, and you fret about minutiae of...sssssstyle. Juck you!

Loosen the rules up just a tiny bit?, like tuning a guitar.

i have a feeling these comments are coming from the same guy.

Wouldn't Norm notice if they were all coming from the same guy? I assume he can view IPs?

Sorry, if critisicm is truly not appreciated I will keep my posts more positive and hold my toungue if I don't like something. Keep up the good work.

True, I didn't like the last one either. But I liked this one a lot!! It was actually very keen. Come on, if this "special religious pledge" would have come from Maher we would all have cried with laughter!

So, he is a little smart-alecky, but that's his shtick, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

And Bund: I soo agree with you concerning Degeneres! I never understood why this totally unfunny person had the spot light, much less her own tv show.

Eh! Not Bad... Not great either. Didn't have much energy.

Hey All, Boxcar here. Just want to chime in a bit. Yeah, there are plenty of negative responses to the work posted here. And while noone wants to be told they suck and so on, i balance that by the fact that over 3000 people have checked out my clips over the last few weeks via 1GM and there are maybe 50 negative responses. Generally people only respond when they have a disagreement, so i feel that the vast majority of the folks who saw the clip remain in the -if not postive, at least the "entertained" majority.

Also, i am three years in as a comic. While that may not mean anything to some, but it takes years to find a voice, craft a stage presence, develop material and if lucky, acheive some success.

I have been disliked by comics, booking managers and audiences not because i suck, but because i break and challenge the norms of nightclub comedy. The Boston Comedy Festival and some of the other venues that value "substance" over "sham" in comedy have responded very strongly to my work and encourage strength to keep striving forward.

There are very few comics who bring their beliefs and passions to the stage with the attempt to move ideas and thought forward while entertaining. We need more and they should be encouraged. Maher and Stewart, Durst and Jimmy Tingle are on islands, despite their success. I hope to join them at some point. But we do need to- as a community of thoughtful progressives, embrace the ideas of these performers, support them and encourage others to open their minds.

Life is not a dick joke.

peace box (Norm: Thanks for the support.)

Cool of you to come here. Just watched the other clips on your site, and you don't have to take no shit. Takes courage to go up there. Respect.

If you don't like it, move along to the next post. You keep coming here for a reason, focus and click on those reasons only. Ungrateful motherfuckers.

I thought this was one of Boxcar's better performances. He has potential, but like a previous poster said, he's not quite great yet.

Boxcar, you need to work on your beat and sincerity. Your performance has too many time-errors and gaps; you are trying too hard to create a persona that is not truly you.

I'd prefer to see you sitting on a tall stool, in a business suit, genuinely aching at society's ills, rather than trying to be some wannabe homie with a NY attitude.

Abandon your formulaic approach to "3 examples of".

If you can lose the rules you think you need to structure your angst, then maybe people will credit you with being genuine.

Let your talent flow, you have talent. Don't try to package it to please the crowd.
