aaaaargh. i can't watch these press briefings anymore cause they just make me want to hurl something big and heavy at him. this can't be good for my blood pressure.
Repeat ad nauseam:
BLAME GAME
FIP FLOP
DEATH TAX
SWIFT BOAT
CULTURE OF LIFE
No offense, but where were the hard questions a long time ago. Where were these guys during the election of 00', 04'. War in Iraq? The list goes on and on. It's nice to see, but.....
on some Swedish blogs, this has been regarded to as an American 'ethnic cleansing'. Sometimes the truth hurts. It will be interesting to see how the recent laws regarging eminent domain begin to work themselves out.
Norm, you're a gem. Thanks for the clip.
IS OUR MEDIA WAKING UP, AM I REALLY SEEING THIS??? ARE THEY FINALLY WAKING UP AND USING THEIR POWER???????????????????????
Norm this sounds familiar... No it doesn't! Yes it does! http://www.mindspring.com/~mfpatton/sketch.htm
What media outlet does David Gregory work for?
Well, here's my take on it. Gregory says, "yes or no" and McClellan says NO.
So that's the news from this briefing: That, no, George Bush does NOT retain complete confidence in his Director of FEMA and Secretary of Homeland Security.
The sad thing is, there will still be enough republicans going "yeah, stand up to those liberal media liars!" and all that while watching this. Honestly, a government as awful and useless as this one is bad enough, but why people will still support it despite its blatand disregard for its own people is completely beyond me.
It's unacceptable that our (the american people's) employees won't answer simple questions. I want honesty, integrity, morality, and accountability not childish antics from our employees. We deserve better than this.
He obviously won't say anything but "blame game, blame game", but it's cool that he'll have to say it over and over again. I bet he doesn't like his job right now.
But "blame game" may turn out to be a pretty strong subterfuge. How do we fight it? Is "responsibility" strong enough? (With this administration? In our dreams...)
Proof positive!
My favorite question: "Is 'Brownie' still doing a heck of a job?"
Give that reporter a Medal of Honor. It's good to see the press alive once again.
well, if the media were asking these questions last year, we would have president Kerry, wouldn't we? they (republicans) wanna portray themselves as optimistic, but how about being realistic for a change? Too bad the democrats are too spineless to point these flaws out
I tire of watching Scott. Does this even matter? Nobody takes this guy seriously, it should be obvious bullshit to everyone right? I must say, I am enjoying watching Gregory grow some balls though...
Then again, if the press had balls last year, it would be President Kerry being SKEWERED twice as bad by the right than Bush is getting now.
I mean come on, the right is so filthy that they take war heros like McCain and Kerry and lie about their combat action to make political gain. Is there anything lower? Oh yeah, turning your back on 20000 drowning black people because they are poor and black.
Why do the real media participate in the charade of a White House "briefing" at all? The appearance of real reporters in the briefing room only lends the stagecraft a believability it doesn't deserve. So let the real reporters leave. Stage a boycott. I'm sure Bush would be able to stuff the chairs full of Washington Times/Talon/Fox 'news' correspondents, but that would be fine, too. At least it would be a more accurate representation of what's really going on.
I absolutely love the "Is Brownie still doin a great job?" quote by Gregory. These assholes are FINALLY gettin what they deserve, real questions from people who actually give a shit about how our country is run. Hoorah for the press!!
I wonder if it was that bitch Rove sent the memo to the White House administration to use the blame game phrase this week. Remember him?
