Stupid Monkeys Are Gullible

Guardsmen Sense Ghostly Presence In New Orleans
If religion wasn't the underlying explanation for this bizarre behavior, this entire group would considered mentally ill and in need of treatment. They are of course in need of treatment, but you have to recognize there is a problem before you look for a solution. The problem is an addiction to Gerin oil. Fortunately most people who are on this drug are able to compartmentalize their irrational beliefs and function more or less normally most of the time. The problem is when the poison leaks out of the box and contaminates the rest of society. Until things change however, laughter is the best antidote.

My skepticism rather than my linguistic ability helped me figure this one out. I automatically check medical/health/drug/therapy claims whenever I read them. http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/crime/article314997.ece

Wow, the title of this report should have been "Stupid monkeys are gullible."

Onward, Christian Soldiers!!

Let them believe what they want. As long as they get the job done.

Christ...our NATIONAL GUARD..the people that defend us are scared of ghosts and shadows.

Forget artillery and anti aircraft fire...just blast ghost noises from high powered speakers and the Americans will retreat. What a bunch of tools. This is an example that too many people carry machine guns for a living because they are too stupid to do anything but get shot at.

It's a shame too because some people in the armed forces aren't this stupid.

Dumb enough to be in the to believe the god myth, why am I not surprised to see them in uniform? Swallowing one type of mind-fuck primed these idiots for ALL types of mind-fuck. There is only one thing worst than being dangerously unaware, and that is being dangerously unaware AND armed to the teeth.

"where go the soldiers, goes the word of god." --i'll have to remember that one. after all, everyone knows god loves violently repressive military regimes.

OMG, that chaplain has one of the worst hairpieces ever. In the name of Jesus I command thee, get to the Hair Club for Men!

I think they have all been playing in the toxic sludge a tad too long.

worse even than the riligious militant freaks is the fact that a news reporter would find this to be important to report, among all the legit news stories out there... our priorities are SCREWED!

and it wasn't even FOX reporting it.

I did not hear of any reports of soldiers claiming to have felt or seen evil spirits/ghosts in Iraq.........After going through what these soldiers went through in Iraq, the mind can play some pretty funny games. Maybe some of these soldiers might of brought back with them what they thought they left behind in Iraq..... Either way being in a warzone, changes your life forever.

lol! Wow Norm, thanks for taking my suggestion :)

Normally I agree with most of the comments and opinions on here but it’s not the question of religion, ghosts or the mental stasis of this particular group of Guardsmen that has me upset. It’s the remarks about the intelligence and sanity of ALL of our armed forces that are getting me saddened. I just had higher expectations of the people who are smart enough to stay around this site.

Too many experimental drugs I guess.

Is it just me or did this story push the idea that a city of sin just got its comeuppance?

Haha, well you know what Freud said... Religion is neurosis.

ProfessorPlum stole my comment.

What the hell kind of people are they accepting into the military these days?

I guess all the intelligent and rational people were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan now all you have left is these freakjobs.

Still they are probably just following the loopy orders of their Commader In Chief to see ghosts, ghouls and goblins at every turn.

"Grab an AK47 and your Bible, Satan has been spotten in North Korea. Let's roll!" Onward Christian Solders.

Someone ought to let them know that an "Act of God" does not necessitate an exorcism only a clean up.

That reporter is no better, perhaps worse.

It must be so easy to make money off the fools who share this mentality. They are capable of believing ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you tell them. Any old garbage you serve up to them can just be wrapped it in a Bible passage and they'll lap it up like hungry dogs. "It says here that Jesus wants you to give me all your money." "Orh uhkhayy."

I guess that almost makes up for having to share your country with them.

"This is a dark city and we're bringing the light. Wherever a solider goes, there goes the word of god." How ironic is that? aren't most soldiers trained to kill people without any remorse? is that how think they bring the word of god? these people are complete knuckleheads. I guess they somehow need to sublimate their actions.

"NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!!!!"

Funny how they don't comment on any other bibles they might have found (s there doubtlesly are many found here and there) and at what verses they were.

Maybe one was at the point where God löost a wrestling match ;)

It was Genesis 32: 28-ish If I remember correctly

Benjamin, The "Support our troops no matter what" stuff doesn't work here. I even wrote "It's a shame too because some people in the armed forces aren't this stupid."

So if some people in our army are acting like complete asses... idiots focussing on the dead ghosties when they should be there helping Americans in need (the living ones), I will be the first to say that is wrong, stupid, scary.
