Great stuff.

If possible, can you post the Anderson Cooper interview? I think he really hit the nail on the head.

agreed on the AC interview, and I even saw Shepard Smith talking tough.

Whats the Daily Show reaction? I haven't seen any of the recent shows.

Which AC interview was that? I was watching CNN and saw the one with Trent Lott. What a prick. I could tell just by looking at him that Anderson wanted to jump through the phone and break his nose, especially when he asked about why it was taking so long on behalf of a local resident and Lott said that was the kind of question that only the media was asking and Anderson got really pissed off. Did anybody realise that he's Gloria Vanderbilt's son? I never knew. A clip from his interview with Senator Mary Landrieu is here:

The Anderson Cooper interview with Sen. Mary Landrieu is online at cnn.com. It's under the headline "senator criticised over response' or something to that effect.

I meant Bill Maher's interview w/ Cooper on his show.

There was a great part where he defended discussing politics right now.

The Daily Show has been repeats all week. I heard Jon Stewart was on some network though being interviewed...

Just out of curiosity...isn't Anderson Cooper a right winger?

It doesn't necessarily matter right now, but I thought he was.

Also...Bill Maher is great. I should consider getting HBO.

"laughing out loud" and "LOL" are different terms.. you can tell when you see people sitting stone-faced at their computers typing "LOL" in response to jokes

it takes a certain talent to make levity out of gravity and this is very delicately done. very good stuff from bill maher

Been a big fan of Maher for years, what a great gig it must be to write for that show.

Agit prop, dont know about Stewart, but Stephen Colbert was on Letterman last night.

I got the Colbert Letterman Video. I'll post it either tomorrow or Monday.

I loved the faith-based relief joke. Great work with the blog, by the way. Keep it up!

O.K. I'm new to this crazy bloggin' stuff (really). Is Anderson Cooper a right-winger? If so, I wonder if I should NOT have emailed congratulations on reporting REAL NEWS via CNN. Need some input-I simply am not sure. I want to believe the media are waking up from their long nap. I am honestly suspicious of everything I hear. Obviously, I read online to keep up to date, but my sense of optimism is hard to beat back. It may be desperation, but I really need to findevidence of common sense returning to the media in general. I'm open to any and all opinions.

Anderson Cooper is not a right-winger. He's a New Yorker, the son of Gloria Vanderbilt. You may have gotten that impression because of the previous compliance of the press with all things Bush.

Vanderbilt isn't that one "rich" families of America? Aren't most rich people republicans?

You can see the Anderson Cooper bits on www.crooksandliars.com

W's faith based relief is so scary. The reason we have a government and pay taxes is to protect and serve the people. Bush's inaction created NO into a 21st Century Compassionate Conservative Concentration Camp

i haven't read through all of the comments, but in response to the first person who wants to see the andersopn cooper clip, go to crooksandliars.com

Anderson is a flaming, left-wing liberal. Son of Gloria Vanderbilt. A typical quai-communist, registered Manhatanite Democrat. The ultra-rich like George Soros are all registered Democrats. George Soros and Mr. Anderson see the picture very well. They envision a socialist America that will put the feudalist era to shame and all the workers are their serfs.

To anon on the Bush 'inaction'. Don't blame Bush. He must have a request from the Louisianna governor before he can do anythng. And to Cronotis34, if rich means being republican then why do the Democrats beget poverty by raising taxes to fund their 'social' programs which only keep the poor poor.

All rich people are republicans like Teddy Kennedy's a republican. And Ted Turner's a republican. And Barbra Streisand's a republican...
