I'm a recent graduate from a public high school in Washington and we got a small amount of sex education. We were taught about STDs and a barely anything about contraceptives for ONE semester. I know someone that used SARAN WRAP in the place of a Condom. I thought it was bad there. Now I'm in college w/ a bunch of people from Private Schools w/o any form of sex education. These repressed kids don't know anything about their sexuality or how to have safe sex. One girl thought she got pregnant from a TOILET. Another told me about her friends in Montana (w/ abstinance only education of course) that started having sex around they time they started their first period and have had a couple abortions. Now some of them are on their second kid and have no hopes for the future except to be a hair stylist and stay at home moms- not that these professions are shameful but the fact that those are their only choices is sad. And now the government is promoting abstinance only education and pressing abstinance (and ONLY ABSTINANCE) on your kids. I DON'T THINK SO! It doesn't work and most programs give misleading information. If Bush is on a crusade to ban abortion, he better decrease the need for abortions first.

Come on, how many times has Pat Buchanan been hit with condiments while speaking publicly? Not that often--ah but how many times has he deserved to get hit? He wasn't physically harmed--he was only made more creamy. I bet I have earned a few pies in the face myself, and I would be honored to eventually get to the point where I'm worth the whipped cream.

The guy got charged with a misdemeanor--it's not like he got off scott-free and is now writing a book about it. I hope people aren't running the story as part of some point about what's "wrong with liberals", since it's a relatively mild (and funny) way to express disapproval. Of course if the practice became too common it would get pretty old, and Ann Coulter might have to take a plexiglass 'pie guard' around with her to speaking gigs.

I'm divided on my feelings for this one. On the one hand, I think it's pretty funny that these people are getting pies and stuff thrown at them. I would say that they deserve far worse given the lies and deceit they've spread. On the other, we aren't really making a case for our cause by doing this.

I think since these people are conservatives, we should start throwing vibrators and french ticklers at them. Then again, we don't want to encourage them screwing us, do we?

Regardless, I wonder if we'll be seeing more of this if our country continues to progress downhill?
