George Bush, Asshole
George Bush is a national embarrassment and a major league asshole. Here is the inside scoop from Sidney Blumenthal in this Salon Piece on the dedication of the Clinton library.
Manners

When the presidents were announced, Bush tried to push his way past Clinton at the library door to be first in line, against the already accepted protocol for the event, as though the walk to the platform was a contest for alpha male.
During a tour of the library
On his tour Bush appeared distracted and glanced repeatedly at his watch. When he stopped to gaze at the river, where Secret Service agents were stationed in boats, the guide said, "Usually, you might see some bass fishermen out there." Bush replied: "A submarine could take this place out."
At the luncheon
At the private luncheon of distinguished guests afterward, in a heated tent pitched behind the library, Shimon Peres delivered a heartfelt toast to Clinton's perseverance in pursuing the Middle East peace process. Upon entering the tent, Bush, according to an eyewitness, told an aide, "One gulp and we're out of here." He had informed the Clintons he would stay through the lunch, but by the time Peres arose with wine glass in hand the president was gone.
And then there was Rove
Offstage, beforehand, Rove and Bush had had their library tours. According to two eyewitnesses, Rove had shown keen interest in everything he saw, and asked questions, including about costs, obviously thinking about a future Bush library and legacy. "You're not such a scary guy," joked his tour guide. "Yes, I am," Rove replied. Walking away, he muttered deliberately and loudly, "I change Constitutions, I put churches in schools ..."

One man's asshole is another man's vagina.... but hey....
Bush rocks...
"I change Constitutions, I put churches in schools ..."
A scum-sucking traitor that wants to destroy the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and boasts about it...yeah, that's pretty fucking scary.
This is hilarious. Bush is a child, really, a child. A child holds the lives of hundereds of thousands in the military, and by extension of many millions at home and abroad in his hands. Smash the lego tower, it's mine hahaha!
Well, people should know by now that I am NO FAN at all of Rove, Bush, and Co. But Rove's comments were just a vague attempt at humor to evoke a response. Rove thought he was being funny and took a jab. That's all - this guy is nothing more than a king maker who has reached his peak and is just sucking the marrow out of it. Just remember, if it wasn't for politics, this guy would be just an arrogant car salesman or Wal Mart manager.
I won't even begin to comment on W's actions - it's too obvious as to what he is.

argod,
GREAT article! maybe Rove was "kidding on the square" as Al Franken puts it. Frightening stuff there.
Thanks, Rick
You couldn't recognize sarcasm if it hit you with a 2 x 4.
Rove's remarks may be sarcasm or it may be "kidding on the square", but George's behavior was simply rude and boorish. You've seen the photo, you've read that he made a commitment to stay for the luncheon and didn't, if true it is difficult to view that as anything more than bad manners. How do you interpret it?
Norm,
I view it as the typical arrogance and selfish nature that is growing worse everyday among Americans. It is the same attitude that gets many of us in trouble when we travel overseas. I guess W is leading the nation by example.
The difference between a Statesman and a invented politician.
wish i could be surprised by W's behaviour. i'm not. a moron truly adorns our white house. somewhere, h.l. mencken is laughing.
Bush jr was definietly rude. I wonder why his parents never taught him manners? Even if Bush is President he still should have let Clinton go first because it was his event.
He lives in his own little bubble world where he is the center of the universe.
Well c'mon people, how polite can anyone be expected to be at the Clinton library dedication. I mean, really I'm amazed that he was even there considering the fact that the Clinton legacy is the antithesis of everything that Bush stands for.
Besides, isn't being rude our new American past-time? I'm pretty sure we could get rid of E Plurbus Unum and replace it with "Outta my way, I'm an American!!!! ha ha ha!" I'm obviously just kidding for those of you out there with no sense of humor.
