A Character Flaw
From Comedy Central the Daily Show with John Stewart interviews Janeane Garofalo who says that "a vote for Bush is a character flaw" an apt description of those so blinded by the bullshit or simply to embarrassed to admit they're wrong. Janeane also calls Bush A Fundamentalist Christian that is " hi on god" and "cocky with christ"

One of the last threads that Bush supporters are hanging onto is the idea that Kerry is a radical left-winger who wants to combat terrorism by sending Al-Qaeda a dozen roses every week until they like us. It's a notion that goes way beyond even the insinuations of the Bush campaign, and it flatly condtradicts the flip-flop claim (which almost always means: "Kerry holds popular positions now, but look at what he said in the 70s and 80s!")
A big proportion of these Bush people were voters who hated Clinton so much that they were willing to vote for a guy who (even in their eyes) seemed dim-witted, of questionable conservative credentials, had not paid his dues in the party, and who used strange meaningless phrases like "compassionate conservative". Now that they're in love with this same guy, conservatives are having to close their eyes and imagine a Kerry who doesn't live up to a number of conservative ideals which were only recently abandoned: a long experience in public service, military record (highly decorated), significant policy knowledge or expertise. But it's no surprise that the last threads seem to be the strongest.
Dende, do you think it would work? A dozen roses a week? It couldn't hurt. You could buy a hell of a lot of roses for the price of one Bradley fighting vehicle.
