What A Day
Yogi said it best. It's not over until it's over. Edwards said, "Objects in your mirror may be closer than they appear." Thanks to Frank for spotting that gem. Indeed they do. The good news is the primary process is alive and well and definitely not over. Edwards continues to impress. When asked if he could restore recently lost jobs simply said no, and then explained what he could reasonably do to address the problems. The perfect answer and one I think the voters will appreciate. I disagree with those that believe he has to be a nasty SOB and get tough on Kerry's record. He can point out the differences in their views and the voters will listen as they did in Wisconsin. The two Johns finished at the top with Howard Dean a distant third. Kucinich tripled Sharpton's totals proving his appeal to thinking Democrats, apparently a threatened species. It's a game of expectations and I expect that whoever the Democratic nominee turns out to be he'll kick Dub's ass. On a lighter and more whimsical note Ann Coulter was seen leaving the Whitehouse this evening wearing a blue dress and mumbling something about not being able to get Dub's engine started. Drudge is on the story but waiting for confirmation before writing his report. I also have some personal news to share. My agent reported that he's signed a very lucrative contract with a major publisher for my new book, " Chicken Soup for Lunch" I received a nice advance and a years supply of saltines. Oh yes and mat handed the Laughing Stranger his ass on a platter in comments to this post. What a day, eh.
