Vinny at Insignificant Thoughts needs a new tagline. I have a suggestion culled from his own site. "Somehow I doubt it..." This is how Vinny ends many of his posts and this often qualifys the post as a Glennuendo (n.) - The act of drawing a darkly ominous inference from an opponent's failure to discuss a political issue. I used to read Vinnie's page. I haven't gone there in a while. Wow...how things change.
I'm sure he's a nice guy. But I find that whole "Liberals suck, they hate America, blah, blah, blah" to be tedious and childish. Like, I'm a liberal, and go fuck yourself if you don't like it, Vinnie. But don't tell me who I am and what I believe. I certainly wouldn't do that to you. Frankly, I don't care.
I am not fond of Republican and neocon ideologies, but I am sure not all proponents of these beliefs are assholes or creeps. I cannot condemn an entire group for the bizarre ideas or actions of a few. Nor do I wish to defend everyone who holds beliefs on my end of the spectrum.
Repubs and necons...I don't hate them or think they are all wrong--I just don't agree with them. Some are assholes, some are not.
Vinnie is apparently turning into a bit of an asshole. I used to like him, blogwise. Now...I can't read that crap, it's like a high school debate society.
