I suppose that question depends on what you consider what it means to be a loser. We live in a society where the motto "Winner takes all" predominates. If only 1% percent of the population can be "NUMBER 1" then we are all in trouble. I think we are in trouble if we buy into what Mike Royko says. I think he is misguided. I think the Cubs were winners they made it to a point they haven't been in, in over fifty years. I would say that is winning. I think winning is personal and I think we all win every day when we succeeded in ways we haven't in the past.

Good point. Remember even the Harlem Globetrotters lost 332, or was it 333 games. That's one hell of a lot of character for a team of winners.
