Five Outs Away
Wow 6-5 Yankees in 11 innings and even the commentators got it right letting the scene, after Aaron Boones walk-off home run ended an incredible game, speak for itself. Several minutes passed before anything was said, it was damn near perfect. Aaron's brother Brett was one of the commentators and the smile on his face when the cameras finally panned to the booth is what I call expert commentary. Five outs away from the championship has replaced the goat and Bambino as the curse du jour. Marlins and Yankees on Saturday and I can hardly wait. This post season has been been one of the best ever, and it's only just begun. Damn I love this game.

Very well put. I watched the game in a place called Jillians in Seattle. I usually don't go there but they have a bunch of big screen TV's. From the excitement you would have thought that the Mariners were playing for the penant. The crowd was almost entirely for the Sox. In the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" philosophy, anyone playing the Yankees is our friend here in the emrald city. Even though I hate the Yankees it was a great game. You almost want to think that this stuff is all scripted like professional wrestling. A 7th game between Pedro and Clemens with a walk-off home run in the 11th inning? Are you kidding?
