Paranoia On The Right
Pejman Pundit, is feeling picked on. Here is part of a post that accuses me of terrible sins. He believes he's been victimized.
I've been attacked and victimized in some of the most inane and childish ways possible by people who hold differing views. Don't believe me? Check out www.pejmanpundit.com, www.pejmanpundit.org, and www.pejmanpundit.net, and you will be directed to a site where the domain names are parked. Scroll down and check the availability of those domain names, and you will find that they are registered by a lefty blogger with whom I have tangled in the past, and who apparently believes that the only way to win an argument with me is to try to take away my soapbox when and if I ever move to my own domain server, or at the very least, to make the import of my soapbox to my own server as difficult and inconvenient as possible. It is surely tempting to retaliate against this kind of mindless and nonsensical behavior, and needless to say, legal options remain open for me due to provisions against cybersquatting. But if that retaliation spreads to the point where you inundate people with whom you disagree with hatemail, or to the point where someone takes out a website called "NormJensonSucks.com," then remember that you are descending to their level. It's been said before, but it deserves to be said again that you should never engage in an argument with an idiot. The idiot drags you down to his own level, and wins because of long years of experience in his chosen intellectual station.
The fact that they are parked and haven't been used should tell you something. I originally purchased them for two reasons . One I was considering putting up a parody site which I decided against. The other, I thought it would be amusing when he attempted to get them and found I had them. My intent was to make a gift of them to him which in spite of his recent post I would still be happy to do. He could have easily discovered my motives by simply emailing me in private. He didn't. Instead he mounted his soapbox and engaged in his standard hyperbole. It is as pathetic as it is amusing. Pej is just seeing a part of himself in me. It's not there. So yes Pej I'll make it just as difficult and inconvienent as possible if you want them just ask my gift to you.
update: Pej in the comments to his post now says that "I just went and got myself a better domain name long ago" The statement does tend to undermine his claims of my making it difficult and inconvenient for him to move to his own server, or for the possibility of exercising his legal options. I checked though he didn't get a better domain name, asshole.com was already taken.
correction to update: I was close but I was wrong it wasn't asshole.com that he wanted but rather conservativeasshole.com, conservative asshole a name given to him by Atrios which Pej says "I wear as a badge of honor" It's still available Pej, but let me suggest you also register conservativeassholesucks.com you wouldn't want anyone to co-opt your message.

No, what's pathetic is your juvenile behavior.
Norm:
You should be ashamed of yourself. Picking on the pej-man is too easy. It's like tossing a ball to a lab -- he'll always go for it, and you'll get bored before he does.
Pejjy: (I know you are checking in here you little OCD poster boy) Why couldn't you let Ms. Galt have her own little pity party? Does it always have to be about you?
Brilliant move Norm. You know, both of you guys are chess enthusiasts, why don't, you know, play him a best out of seven series?
He's into memorization and good studenting so I would suggest being that they're your domains that you set the rules, rely on improvization and quick thinking...And that one game use the Fischer rules, another 3 D chess, speed chess, another played on one of the weirder boards out there heh heh heh. Yep. I can see it now: Cowardly Warblogger refuses to fight for his own domain name, refuses to take the black pieces etc...You can't lose though. Here's another condition, if he beats you then I get him...!

No, Robert, what is really and truly pathetic is you and your kind's, complete inability to get any kind of sense of humour, nevermind one as sophisticated as Norm's. Your loss.
I don't think that's a sense of humour. I actually think it's kinda childish, and I'm really surprised that Norm would do something like that.
Vinny, I can understand why you would think it childish, but I don't understand why you don't see the humor in it unless of course you think my motives were those Pejman attributes to me. I can assure you he's wrong.
Nothing like that, I just think it's kinda like stealing... I mean it's a great gotcha, and whatnot, but it's something I wouldn't expect from you, that's all...
Vinny,
So you think that a person has a special right to a domain if it contains part of their name, and that if someone legally registers the name it is a sort of stealing. Do you think the people that took the Whitehouse.org were kinda stealing when they took that name or many parody sites on the internet. If someone took the names didn't use them and then refused to relinquish them you would have a case, but that is not situation here, and since Pejman never asked for the names, in fact claims he reserved a better name long ago make his claims a little disingenuous. The idea was to play into his arrogance, as Dr. Freud so aptly pointed out it is like throwing a ball to a lab they always go for it which is exactly what he did and why some find it amusing.
so how do i know... or am i another dum person that did not think he would....
How do you know what?
