Inspectors Find Evidence, Rock Solid
Iraq—U. N. Inspectors today uncovered evidence of serious Iraqi violations. Hans Blix, who until now doubted Iraq possessed WMD (weapons of mass destruction) acknowledged the evidence was damning. Inspectors on a routine inspection near Baghdad discovered a cache of sling-shots and a large store of ammunition. White House press secretary Ari Fliescher in a hastily called news conference said the President wants you to know this is the solid evidence we've been looking for, uh I mean the evidence we've known was there all along . Lets Roll!!

It was very interesting watching CNN all dsay today - in the morning they were calling the empty shells :the smoking gun" (and I have to say given the nature of the find I could hardly believe I was hearing them say that) but by the time Crossfire started even the right wing apologist Robert Novack was clearly stating that he really hoped the administration wasn't going to try to go to war on that. yup, quite intersting watching them backtrack through out the day when they realized that dog wasn't going to hunt.
There is plenty of smoking, but Its not guns.
Was it just the media calling it the Smoking Gun? That wouldn't surprise me, as they want to be there when the bombs start bursting in mid-air over Baghdad.
