Protect Your Email Address
Email spiders are searching our sites stealing our email addresses, there are several solutions here is a good one from a discussion at Jonathan Delacour's site on web accessibility. His suggestion for encoding your email address in unicode looks like a winner to me. You don't even have to do the encoding yourself fantomas mail shield will do it for you.
Update: The solution that wasn't. It seems protecting your email address is not so easy. Having said that here are some other possibilities from Phil and Ruzz

Heck, I love my Internet spam mail. Some of it is so funny ("Teen sluts and GALLONS of spooge!! Kinky farm animals! Midget porn!") that checking my mail every day is a ritual to which I look forward.
That sounds like an invitation to forward my spam your way. You must really like spam spam spam spam...
I am about to stop using this email address which I have had for five years because I am now getting Mailer Daemon responses and Failed Delivery responses for emails I did not send..they are spam mails where all sorts of people have used my email address to spam

It's nothing personal to you -- that happens to everybody at some time. Spammers have always forged the return addresses on their messages. Now they're forging the addresses of recipients of the spam. I guess they're trying to get through some of the email filters. The result is that you get the bounces.
Your email address was compromised the first time a spammer got hold of it. (I don't recommend Yahoo mail because they do sell your email address to the mail senders -- it says so in their privacy policy.) I recommend http://fastmail.fm
Someone wants to sign in at my e-mail account, it's not easy of course, but it takes time to recover my account. Do you have any good methods to prevent it to happen again?
